Fireworks Celebration Suite (2018)
Fireworks Celebration Suite (2018) is a musical composition by 2x Grammy Nominated American pianist, composer and author Kevin Kraig Toney for symphonic orchestra, rhythm section and gospel chorus. This remarkable composition combines brass fanfare, breathtaking strings and orchestral textures that blend with contemporary pop/r & b, world music and gospel rhythms to create a music experience that’s filled with excitement and joy! This piece also incorporates a well-known section from “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” (as recorded by Diana Ross) to add an explosive ending to this delightful composition. Commissioned by the L.A. Phil, the piece received its world premier at the Hollywood Bowl Opening Night 2018 Season in the concert that featured the legendary Diana Ross on June 16, 2018, by Thomas Wilkins (conductor) and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. This piece was the official music for the “Fireworks segment in Miss Ross performance.
